Dear Hudson City School District Faculty and Staff,
I am writing to you today to inform you of an upcoming power outage that will take place on Friday, June 30 at 12 p.m. at Hudson Junior/Senior High School that will close district buildings at that time. The cause of the imminent power outage is due to National Grid transferring power across the street to power up the electric vehicle chargers. The District has been told the outage could last over two hours.
Due to the potential of power being lost at Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School as well, all faculty and staff for the Hudson City School District will be dismissed at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 30. The rain date set in place for this to occur is Monday, July 3.
