Dear Hudson City School District Faculty, Staff and Families,

False Threat Letter 9-27-23.docx

The Hudson City School District was made aware of an incident in the Junior High School today at approximately 12 p.m. in which a student made a threat of violence.

A search was conducted by our school safety officers and no weapons were found. The student’s guardians and local law enforcement were contacted and the student was taken to the hospital. Administration learned that the student does not possess either weapon and does not present a legitimate threat to the students and staff of the Hudson City School District.

As always, the District takes all claims and threats seriously and investigates them to the fullest extent. We encourage you to speak to your student(s) about the importance of reporting any suspicious activity to an adult as soon as possible.

Please know that the health and safety of our students and staff is our main priority. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the district office at 518-828-4360, or contact your building principal. Thank you for your attention to this important information.

Sincerely,

Dr. Juliette Pennyman

Superintendent of Schools

Hudson City School District
