Prior to the Dec. 12 Hudson City School District Board of Education meeting, the 2023-24 fall student-athletes on the modified, junior varsity and varsity sports teams were recognized by the Board and Superintendent Dr. Juliette Pennyman for their accomplishments this season. Key achievements included:– Varsity Girls Soccer and Varsity Girls Volleyball qualifying for Sectionals.
– Varsity Boys Soccer qualifying for Sectionals and reaching the semifinals.
– Varsity Girls Tennis qualified for Sectionals and sent three players to individual sectionals (Ummuy Chowdhury, Alvira Sarker and Tanjina Rahman).
– Varsity Boys Golf sent three players to individual Sectionals (Gannon Logue – advanced to second round, Matthew Plaia and Dylan McDonald).
– Four Varsity teams (Boys Golf, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer and Girls Tennis) were recognized as Scholar Athlete Teams: The teams’ average GPA for 75% of the roster is greater than 90%.
