Dear Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School Families, Faculty and Staff,
At approximately 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, June 12, 2024, the Montgomery C. Elementary School initiated a Hold-in-Place response following a medical emergency involving a staff member inside the building. The staff member was alert and in stable condition upon being treated by first responders.
A Hold-in-Place requires students to stay in their classrooms to keep the hallways clear so first responders can have access without interruption.
At approximately 10:05 a.m. the Hold-in-Place was lifted, and our regular schedule resumed. Please note that instruction was not interrupted during this time.
