Letter on Unannounced Lockdown Drill 6-8-23
Dear Hudson City School District Families and Staff,
Today, an unannounced lockdown drill was planned by law enforcement for both Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School and Hudson Junior/Senior High School.
The elementary school’s drill went into effect at approximately 1:27 p.m. and was cleared at approximately 1:45 p.m. while the junior/senior high school’s drill went into effect at approximately 1:59 p.m. and was cleared at approximately 2:20 p.m.
In attendance for the drill were members of the New York State Police, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Hudson City Police Department, Hudson City School District security and facilities staff and Questar III BOCES Health and Safety staff.
We are extremely proud of how well our scholars and staff handled the drill. As always, the health and safety of our school community remains our number one priority.
