Dear Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School Families, Faculty and Staff
At approximately 12:45 p.m. today, Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, a call to 911 was delivered from inside Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School. It was determined that a student had dialed 911 with no true emergency taking place.
Out of precaution, law enforcement arrived at the elementary school to investigate the situation and determined it to be a false alarm at approximately 1 p.m.
As always, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is our top priority. I invite you to speak with your student(s) on the importance of dialing 911 in only true cases of emergencies. Thank you for your support and understanding.
